I do not keep any further personal information about you or our sessions
How I use this information;
To contact you about session times/changes
In the event of my believing you are at risk of harming yourself or others, I reserve the right to break confidentiality and contact your GP Practice or your dedicated emergency number
How long do I keep your information;
Once our work has ended I am adviced by my insurance company as well as my professional organisation (BACP) to retain the information for a period of 7 years. After this period I delete/shred any information I may hold such as emails, texts, paper held details
At any time before then you have the right to be informed about the data I may hold and to withdraw your consent to its use and to change/delete information
How I hold any information about you is governed by the provision of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
How do I protect your information;
My smartphone and computer are password protected
Your name is replaced with initials or code
Any paper notes are kept in a locked drawer
I use password protection and encryption programs to protect our communication. Nevertheless any emails or messages we send to each other may be vulnerable to viruses or human error. Please keep in mind that all emails and messages are retained in the logs of internet service providers, therefore it is a good idea to be mindful about what you include in our communication
Any working contract shall be governed in all respects in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any dispute or differences in relation to this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts
